About the Bottom Line Team
Our Roots
Founded by Erin Johnson, Bottom Line Accounting (BLA) was built on a passion for serving business owners with integrity, excellence, and dedication.
At just 18 years old and newly married, Erin launched her first small business—Little Skeeter’s Salsa. This salsa-making venture sparked her love for entrepreneurship and set the stage for everything that followed.
Years later, while her husband was stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station in Maine, she started her first bookkeeping firm, serving local mom-and-pop businesses and deepening her passion for helping fellow entrepreneurs succeed.
When her family received orders to the west coast, Erin made the difficult decision to sell her first practice in Maine. Their final duty station brought them to Hampton Roads, Virginia, where her husband later retired from active duty. With his encouragement and support, Erin relaunched Bottom Line Accounting—bringing years of experience, a proven track record, and a renewed vision for serving entrepreneurs.
With degrees in Business Management and Accounting, Erin helps entrepreneurs—the backbone of America—by keeping their books accurate, dependable, and current so they can make confident decisions.
Outside the office, Erin enjoys cooking big meals for her family and spending time on their small farm with many chickens, one duck, and a turkey. She also treasures studying God’s Word and living out the values of faith, family, and country that guide her both personally and professionally.
